A Disaster Preparedness Training & Road Safety Awareness Program
A Disaster Preparedness Training & Road Safety Awareness Program was organized in the school on 13 May 2022 by Civil Defence officers of Govt of Assam and Enforcement team from DTO office, Jorhat respectively , to apprise the students and teachers with the types of disaster and how to mitigate them and Road Safety measures to be followed for safety of lives on roads .
The session on disaster preparedness aimed at capacity building against disaster like fire, earthquake, storm and accident. During the session various rescue operations were demonstrated by the officials and different techniques were discussed with the students as well as teachers. Some improvised techniques that could be implemented in case of unavailability of resources were also discussed.
The session on road safety aimed at shedding light on the reasons behind road accidents and the importance of following traffic rules to reduce road accidents.
