Swachata Pakada, meaning "Cleanliness Pledge," is an initiative aimed at promoting cleanliness and hygiene in our society. It is an integral part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, which was launched by the Indian government to create a cleaner and healthier environment. The school celebrated Swachata Pakada with great enthusiasm and dedication on 27 Sep 2023. The primary objective of the Swachata Pakada celebration at our school was to instill a sense of responsibility and awareness about cleanliness among students. It aimed to encourage them to actively participate in keeping their surroundings clean and to contribute to the larger mission of a Swachh Bharat. The celebration began with a speech by Mrs Firdausi Sultana Hazarika highlighting the importance of keeping one's surroundings clean and how a clean school environment not only promotes happiness and well-being among children but also enhances their learning experience. The speech was followed by a pledge ceremony in the morning assembly. All students, teachers, and staff members gathered in the Assembly Hall and recited the Swachata Pakada pledge with full dedication, vowing to maintain cleanliness in the surroundings and spread awareness about hygiene. Following the pledge, students were divided into groups and assigned various areas within the school premises for a cleanliness drive. Armed with gloves, brooms, and trash bags, students enthusiastically cleaned classrooms, corridors, the playground, and the surrounding areas. This hands-on experience allowed them to actively participate in the initiative. The Swachata Pakada celebration was a resounding success. It not only educated students about the importance of cleanliness but also inspired them to take responsibility for their surroundings. This initiative served as a powerful reminder that cleanliness is not just a one-day event but a lifelong commitment that starts with each individual. By celebrating Swachata Pakada, our school continues to contribute to the larger mission of a cleaner and healthier India, and we are proud to be a part of this transformative movement.
